About this Project
SiFi was asked to design and supply a raw materials handling system for a cement plant in Alberta. This operation was a full-turn key project that allowed SiFi to showcase their full capabilities from start to finish.
The project included the following:
Civil Engineering and Installation – Ramp design to support the weight of equipment and material to be loaded into the hopper.
Structural Engineering, Fabrication, and Installation – 100 ton capacity hopper built with supporting structure and an enclosed dust collection hood with proper openings and loading curtains for dust control.
Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, and Installation – Created dust collecting bins on hopper and associated pneumatic piping.
Engineering, Design, Fabrication, and Installation – Built a conveying system to tie into the existing plant process, in addition to updating the hydraulic gate and discharge chute of the existing conveyor. updated hydraulic gate.
