SiFi Engineering and Fabrication Ltd
SiFi provides flexibility by offering a multitude of fabrication and modularization services. We are ASME accredited and routinely perform work to B31.1, B31.3. Besides the specialized prefabrication of piping, we integrate multiple disciplines into the construction of modules and skids.
A modular approach using prefabrication ultimately leads to better quality and faster completion times for our client projects. We will review and evaluate every project’s individual needs, size, site footprint, and other variables to determine the most cost-effective fabrication approach. The majority of large projects will require some modularization of their systems, and in some cases a combination of modular and on-site fabrication is the best approach.

Process piping packages are used for transfer of liquids, chemicals, fuels, gases or other fluids under pressure or vacuum. SiFi Engineering and Fabrication Ltd. has extensive experience in fabricating and assembling Client Design or SiFi Design turnkey process packages for various applications. Our QAQC standards meet or exceed client expectations, and we pride ourselves on the most cost effective, safe design and fabrication for these complex piping systems.
Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems
As populations increase and water resources become strained, decentralized water and wastewater treatment systems are becoming a solution for municipalities and industrial operations. SiFi has worked with global leaders in water and wastewater treatment to build skid mounted packages for industrial wastewater treatment, potable water treatment, and sanitary wastewater treatment systems. We work closely with our design partners and customers to meet their structural, mechanical, and electrical requirements.
Our packages are factory tested prior to shipment to ensure mechanical and electrical integrity. We provide field services for onsite tie-ins and commissioning, where required. We also work with municipalities on water and wastewater treatment system upgrades and retrofits. We have experience with various water and wastewater treatment equipment including membranes, tank systems, media filters, pump packages, bioreactors, and lift stations.
Energy Transfer Systems (ETS)
District energy is an efficient way to heat and cool medium to large size buildings in more populated areas, while keeping down costs and CO2 emissions. Generally, this process will move heat energy from a centralized source through a network of pipes (thermal distribution system) to industrial, commercial, residential or institutional buildings.
SiFi Engineering and Fabrication Ltd. has proven their engineering/design/fabrication and installation experience in the development of modular and stick-built Energy Transfer Stations (pre-engineered ETS skid packages) in Calgary, AB. SiFi has completed ETS units for New Central Library, Telus Sky, and Arts Commons in Downtown Calgary, as well as additional buildings in the city’s core.
Our experience has enabled us to gain an advantage in providing clients with optimal design and construction savings in retrofitting or new construction when using district energy. We are eager to share our knowledge and capabilities to other cities in Canada and help companies lower costs while increasing green initiatives.
